Meetings

The Person County Unit of the NAACP will meet on Tuesday, March 17 at Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, 824 Durham Rd. The executive board will meet at 6 p.m. and the membership meeting will be at 7 p.m. The public is invited.

The AARP meeting will be held Tuesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. at the Senior Center on Long Avenue, behind the County Office Building.

PERSON COUNTY AL-ANON meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. at Long Memorial United Methodist Church in Roxboro.

Celebrate Recovery (physical and psychological addiction) meets each Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church in Roxboro. For additional information, call Jim Fulp at 599-2078.

SUBSTANCE ABUSE SUPPORT GROUP meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Reformation Christian Center, 134 Weeks Dr., next to Golden Corral. All are welcome, including family.

Person Family Medical and Dental Center will host its annual 5K Walk/ Run Saturday, March 21. Call Kristy Williams at 336-599-9271 ext. 243 to register. The registration fee is $15.

Battle Ax Lodge #120 PHA will celebrate the 94th anual banquet on March 21 at the County Office Building, 304 Morgan St. at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. The speaker will be the Rev. Dr. Alfred M. Faulkner.
