St. Mark’s Episcopal CHURCH, 422 N. Main St., will host a seven-part series for the community, The Way of Love: Spiritual Practices for Jesus-Centered Living, on Sunday afternoons, 3-4:15 p.m. Remaining programs are scheduled for Sept. 23, Oct. 7, 14 and Nov. 4. This study will be led by St. Mark’s Vicar, The Rev. Dr. Jeanine Driscoll.

Bailey Chapel Ame CHURCH, 5016 Woodsdale Rd., will celebrate the anniversary of Rev. Theodora Moss at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23.

New Ephesus Baptist, located at 375 Ephesus Church Rd., Semora, will celebrate its 146th church anniversary at 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 23. Special guests for the occasion are Pastor Larry McDonald, Sr of the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in Roxboro. A meal will be served between morning worship and the afternoon service.

Somerset Baptist located at 141 Somerset Church Rd., will celebrate Homecoming Sunday, Sept. 23 at 10:45 p.m. Guest speaker will be Dr. Chris Schofield and special music will be provided by Covenant Ground Trio.

LAWSON CHAPEL BAPTIST Church located at 200 Lawson Chapel Church Rd., Roxboro will hold its Women’s Day Program, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. For more information contact Pastor Langston Logon at 336-597-8761.

The male chorus of Greater Covenant Church located at 334 Industrial Dr. will celebrate its anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23.

Shady Hill Missionary Baptist, located at 1500 Old Durham Rd., will host Noon Day Bible Study from noon to 1 p.m. starting Wedneday, Sept. 26.

Sunnyside Ministers, Deacons and Lay members Union will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Greater Brandon Chapel Baptist, Alton, Va.

OLD LEA BETHEL BAPTIST located at 6035 Ridgeville Rd., Leasburg, will observe its “79th Annual Homecoming” Sunday, Oct. 21. The homecoming speaker will be Rev. Bobby Tate who pastors Friendly Hills Baptist Church. A covered dish luncheon will follow.

Stew
