Mamie Wilbourne Regan

TIMBERLAKE — Mamie Wilbourne Regan, 77, formerly of 2363 Antioch Church Road, Timberlake, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her home. Born in Granville County, she was the daughter of the late John Oliver Wilbourne and Rosa Matthews Wilbourne. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Junior Regan; seven siblings, John Wilbourne, Sallie Holbrook, Frank “Shortie” Wilbourne, Annie Owen, Alice Harris, Henry Wilbourne and Pattie Frick. She was a member of Timberlake Baptist Church.

Mamie loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and enjoyed being able to spend time with them. She was a seamstress and loved quilting. She loved her many fruit trees. Mamie enjoyed her job at Wal-Mart as a people greeter.

Surviving are her three children, Ann Regan, Thomas Regan and Junior Regan, all of Timberlake; four sisters, Rosa “Speedie” Allen, Bettie Oha, Fannie “Bug” Wilbourne and Liz Wilder; three grandchildren, Felicia Regan (Trinity Whitfield), Melanie Nix (Seth) and Danielle Barnett (Vince); one great-grandchild, Aiden Thomas Barnett.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Brooks & White Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Person Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and other times at the home.
