Lillian Bumpass named Student of the Week

By Courtney Davis

Lillian Bumpass has been nominated as student of the week by junior class guidance advisor, Alesha Laney.

Bumpass is a junior who plays an active role in PHS and the community. Bumpass participates in a variety of extracurricular activities, including the varsity women’s basketball team, a member of S.A.D.D (students against drunk driving) club, and is in the band program. Bumpass is active in her church, and she also finds time to juggle a part time job.

“I try to manage my free time wisely in order to get all of my work completed efficiently and as soon as possible,” Bumpass said.

“A good student is someone who continues to do well in multiple aspects of their life. Even if they are faced with challenging circumstances they continue to work hard in order to succeed,” Laney said. “That describes Lillian Bumpass.”

Bumpass plans to attend a four year university to become a physical therapist.
