Road closure planned this weekend at railroad crossing

In an effort to address traffic congestion concerns near Roxboro Community School, Norfolk Southern Railway is planning to perform rail crossing work, which was scheduled to begin yesterday and end Monday afternoon.

The work will take place at the railroad crossing on Depot Street. A detour route has been planned as follows: detour signs will direct traffic north on north Main Street to Barnett

Avenue, then right on Barnette to Front Street, then right on Front Street and back to Depot Street.

Depot Street will be completely closed at the railroad crossing.
