Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist church is celebrating the 32nd pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Jesse R. Timberlake on April 17 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Lynwood Timberlake will be the anniversary speaker. Cedar Grove Church choirs will render the song service. Lunch will be served after the morning service. All are welcome to come and help celebrate this blessed day.


Triple Springs Baptist Church will have a Sunday Night Song Service on Sunday, April 17 at 6 p.m. The Yarboro Family will be the featured group. Finger foods will be served after the singing in the fellowship hall. The church is located on Highway 49 North at the corner of Hal Melton Road and Virgilina Road. All are welcome to join in on the fun, food and fellowship.

The Zion Level Missionary Baptist church Ensemble Choir will celebrate its anniversary on Sunday, April 10 at 2:30 p.m. Come out and be blessed through songs of praise. All are welcome.

A&M Productions will present the 17th singing anniversary of The Gospel Disciples on Sunday, April 17 at Henderson Middle School, 219 Charles St., Henderson. The Chavis Family’s 34th singing anniversary will be held April 23 at Cornerstone Christian Community Church, 3237 Knotts Grove Road, Oxford. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the service begins at 6 p.m. Appearing will be Nu Company Praise Choir of Oxford; George Dickens and the Gospel Disciples of Oak City; The Bowman Sisters of Emporia, Virginia; Evangelist Skipwith and the Inspirations of Gaston; The Yanceys of Oxford and Men of Faith. Bailey’s Chapel AME Church, 5016 Woodsdale Road, will host its annual Youth Revival April 20-22 at 7 p.m. nightly. Guest speakers will be the Rev. Paul Robinson, Minister Faiger Blackwell II and the Rev. Gregory Jones. All are invited to attend.

Providence Baptist Church, 1319 Virgilina Road, will have Revival Services April 10 through April 13. Preaching during these services will be by the Rev. Peter McDonald, the Rev. Donald Harris, the Rev. Jimmy Pulliam and Dr. Carroll Brackett. Old Mt. Zion Baptist Church will hold its annual Youth Revival Wednesday through Friday, April 13- 15 at 7 p.m. nightly. The speaker will be the Rev. Myckal Brickhouse, pastor of Cary First Christian Church in Cary on Wednesday, April 13; Minister Austin Harris, associate minister of Faith Temple United Holy Church in Roxboro on Thursday, April 14 and Minister Devin Paylor, associate minister of Allen Chapel AME Church in Roxboro. Brickhouse will be accompanied by his choir on Wednesday night. A local youth choir will perform on Thursday night and The Union Grove Youth Choir will perform on Friday night. Everyone is invited to attend.

Ca-Vel Baptist Church will hold Revival beginning Sunday, April 10 and continuing through April 13 at 7 p.m. nightly. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Tim Bowes.

GRACE / CA-VEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH invites everyone to Revival Services at Grace Worship Center, 313 Church St. from April 10 through April 13 at 7 p.m. nightly. A Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser will be held Tuesday, April 12 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at New Brook United Methodist Church, 265 Old Durham Road. Homemade spaghetti, salad, drinks and homemade desserts will be served. All proceeds will support the New Brook Work Team this July in Les Cayes, Haiti. The group is the first of many to begin work on the Christian Education Center for the Deaf in South Haiti.

Helena United Methodist Church, 290 Helena-Moriah Road in Timberlake, will hold its semi-annual Spring/Summer Trader Tots Consignment Sale today, Saturday, April 9. Good quality spring and summer children’s/ teen clothes, toys, games, baby gear, books, bedding, furniture and maternity will be available. Sale times are Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon; closed noon to 1 p.m. and from 1 to 3 p.m. half off sale on specifically marked items.

Children’s Ministry Day will be held Saturday, April 30 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Beulah Baptist Association office.

A Deacons and Wives Retreat will be held Saturday, May 7 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Timberlake Baptist Church, 3035 Surl - Mt. Tirzah Rd. in Timberlake. The cost is $5 per person — breakfast and lunch will be provided. The registration deadline is May 5.
