Free summer shows for kids to be held at Kirby

The Kirby Cultural Arts program is offering several free summer shows for kids this summer.

There is no admission fee for these shows with performances geared toward the young and Free summer programs for young at heart. The kids kicks off with “Happily targeted audience is Ever After” on June 19. four to 12-years of age. The shows would not be possible without the support of Person County United Way.

The series, begins with Bright Star Theatre’s “Happily Ever After,” on Friday, June 19 at 1 p.m. at the Kirby Theater in Uptown Roxboro.

On Friday, June 26 at 1 p.m. will be String Celebration with “Every Hero Has A Song.”

On Friday, July 10 at 1 p.m. Rags to Riches Theatre will bring “Old Aesop’s Tales” to the Kirby Theater.

On Friday, July 17 at 1 p.m. April C. Turner will present “Dancing Stories.”

And on Friday, July 24, at 10 p.m. Fish the Magish will bring “Fizz Boom … There is Magic in this Room.”
