Alma Melton Campbell

Alma Melton Campbell, 75, of 9419 Virgilina Rd., died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013.

Born in Person County, Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of the late Arthur and Irma Gentry Melton. Mrs. Campbell retired from Collins & Aikman and was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband, John Edward Campbell; three daughters, Deborah Rogers and husband, Doc of Graham, Denise Walker andm husband, Randy and Beverly Davis, all of Roxboro; two brothers, Robert Melton of Hurdle Mills and Frank Melton of Roxboro; three grandchildren, Brandi Garner and husband, Nick, Blake Walker and wife, Christy and Logan Davis; three greatgrandchildren, Gavin Blake Walker, Aiden Blake Walker and Aaron Zain Garner.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, at Olive Branch Baptist Church by the Dr. Victor Blackwell. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday at Olive Branch Baptist Church prior to the service.

Pallbearers were Blake Walker, Logan Davis, Nick Garner, Sherwood Melton, Eugene Melton and Lawrence Dixon. Honorary pallbearers were Brandi Garner, Sheila White, Elsie Mae and James Norman Elliott, Sudie Cousin, Shirley Dean, Marjorie Melton, Jean Melton, Maxine Thomas, Jim and Katie Rogers, and Troy and Pat Campbell.
